Our talented staff can create any type of tiered confection from delicious butter creams to Champagne cake - from classic styling to contemporary art. We get individual inspiration for every wedding cake we do from our personal contact with each bride. For parties of 100 or more, call and set up a wedding cake tasting with one of our consultants and choose a design, or bring in a picture of something you like. Resch's has been a bakery in Columbus, Ohio since 1912. They have been baking, decorating and designing wedding cakes from the very start in 1912. - How many wedding cakes do you schedule on the same day?
Between 4-15 cakes scheduled each week. - How do you price your cakes? By the slice and does cost vary depending on the design and flavors I choose?
Resch's charges per slice and $3.50 per slice will be on the low end, while $6 per slice is on the higher end. - What is your minimum per-person cake cost?
There is no minimum per-person cake cost. - What recommendations can you give me to maximize my budget?
We offer different sizes of cakes and you can have your cake decorated several ways. - Do you have a "menu" of cakes and prices that I can take with me?
Work in progress at this time. - What are the fees for delivery and setup of the cake?
15 miles or closer, there is no delivery charge. Any place more than 15 miles, we charge a $1.25 per mile. Delivery days are Friday and Saturday before 3pm. - Are you able to coordinate with my florist for wedding cake flowers if needed?
Approximately 20% of our cakes have live flowers, we will put them on or a lot of times we deliver the cake plain and the florist will decorate the cake with flowers. - What do you do if the cake gets damaged in transit to or at my reception site?
This is one reason we don't deliver after 3. In case a problem is to arise, my decorators are typically at the shop until 2. - Do you provide or rent cake toppers, cake-cutting knife and cake stands? What fees are associated with this?
Generally, the Bride and Room keeps these items, it's not a request that we typically have. We don't provide these items. - How far in advance should I order my cake?
Approximately 3-5 months in advance. The cake ordering typically follows booking the wedding venue. - What is the deposit and when is it due?
We typically require a $100 deposit. - When is the final payment due?
3 weeks before the wedding. - Do you have a portfolio of your work I can view and did you make all the cakes in it?

We have an 'old school' mentality that focuses on the importance of a good tasting cake. Our specialty is our taste. - If I provide you with a picture of what I'd like, can you recreate it? Does it cost extra for a custom design?
You can email us a picture of what you have in mind and we will get back to you in 1-2 business days. - What flavors and fillings do you offer?
Resch's offers white chocolate, yellow cake, carrot cake and red velvet. - Do you do both fondant and buttercream icing?
Typically Resch's does not do fondant icing, however, this is something we can discuss depending on your specific needs. - How much time in advance of the wedding is the cake actually made? Do you freeze your cakes?
We bake the cake the week of, we freeze it and once the cake is frozen, we bring it out, decorate it on Thursday and the cake is ready for Saturday.
